World Cup Party Drinking Game #1 - Football Challenge

This drinking game is fun and simple and a perfect way to make the World Cup match all that more interesting. Each of your guests should pick a team to support. Supply each guest with a cup or shot glass. Assign a drink value to different plays in the match. Here are just a few ideas to get the game started. You can come up with your own drink values and actions.

  • Take one drink for each kick off.
  • Take two drinks each time one of the players on your team is booked.
  • Take three drinks each time your team is off sides.
  • Take two “shots” if the opposing team scores a goal.
  • Take three “shots” if the opposing team wins the game.

World Cup Party Drinking Game #2 – Score

This World Cup party drinking game is similar to the game “Quarters” except to keep the theme of the party you will use a miniature football. Put a glass in the center of a table. The person with the miniature soccer ball will bounce it and if it goes into the glass, the person who scores will be able to choose a person to take a drink. If the person does not score, then it is the next person’s turn.

World Cup Party Drinking Game #3 – Soccer Samba

This World Cup party drinking game is a game to play before or after the big match. It is possible to play indoors, but make sure you have enough room to pass the football and enough height to keep it from hitting the ceiling.

This game combines soccer and drinking skills. You will need a soccer ball, space, a minimum of three people, and a determined amount of alcohol or non-alcoholic drinks.

Form a samba by making a circle. Each player is to stand on the outside. The soccer ball can only be touched twice in a row before it must be passed off. If that player makes a bad pass, he will have to take a drink. This player cannot go back into the samba until the drink is finished. However, the samba can continue while player is drinking.

The winner is the person who has the most drinks left.

World Cup Party Drinking Game #4 – Football Player Mania

As long as you have at least two people, some drinks, and the World Cup match on the television, your guests will have a blast at your party.

Before the match starts, each guest must pick a player from the football team. This will be their player for the entire match. Try not to pick a goalkeeper unless the player does not wish to drink much at all.

Once the player has been chosen, the game follows a scoring system, which is:

  • Take one drink each time your player is mentioned in the commentary.
  • Take four drinks if your player gets a yellow card.
  • Drink the entire glass if your player gets a red card or scores a goal.
  • If your player is substituted, take two drinks and this player becomes your player for the rest of the match.

The World Cup match is exciting in itself, but it can be fun to put a spin on the match with these World Cup party drinking games.
