Girls love to pretend. A Winter Wonderland Castle is the perfect birthday party where they can escape to a world beyond their wildest imaginations. Your daughter can be the Princess of the Winter Wonderland Castle and the guests can be the friends to the Princess. They can each make up their own name. They can all be some type of Princess, for example, your daughter could be names Princess Snow Angel, etc. Be sure to check out our article for winter party for boys.
Invitations
Make invitations out of white transparent vellum cards. Stamp them with white, silver, and blue snowflakes. On the inside, have them join the Princess of Winter Wonderland Castle for an evening of fun filled with crafts, games, food, and performances. Have them wear winter white, silver, or pale blue. Ask them to bring a story, song, poem, dance, or something to share. Let them know that the thing they bring to share will be part of their performance they will all put on together.
Decorations
Decorate the rooms with large hanging silver and white snowflakes and blue, silver and iridescent glitter balls. These can be made from Styrofoam. Purchase snowy white tulle for the windows and doorways. Drape them with iridescent beads.
Activities
The majority of the activity section of the party will be the girls making up a play that involves the Princess of the Winter Wonderland Castle and her friends. The play will include all the things the girls bring to share. This will keep them very busy and entertained for quite a while.
Other Winter Wonderland Castle activities:
- Make bracelets out of beads.
- Girls love crafts! Make Winter Wonderland Princess Crowns. Simply cut out the crowns out of different colored foams, preferably the colors they are wearing, such as winter white, silver, or pale blue. Cut a long strip out of the foam and measure each girl’s head. Staple the ends of the long strip to the crown. Have them decorate the crown with winter themed beads. Allow them to dry.
- Make Winter Wonderland Charm Pins. These are simple and go well with the Winter Wonderland Princess theme. All you need is coiless safety pins, assorted beads, and winter charms. Open up the coiless pin wide so they are almost flat. If you mess with the pin too much, you could create a weak spot that can make the pin snap. Begin stringing the beads and charms. Fold back the coiless pin to its original shape and then close. These are great to swap with other friends or they can do a swap at the party!
Winter Wonderland Castle Cake
The cake can be your daughter’s favorite kind. Then use pale blue icing for the background. Create a Winter Wonderland Castle on the cake. Be sure to include snowflakes on the castle to make it unique. Have a big snowflake on the door, etc. Serve up Winter Wonderland snow balls by serving up two scoops of vanilla ice cream. The girls will love adding in their own toppings. Have some cookies, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and sprinkles available. This will be a very memorable birthday party that the girls will be talking about for years to come. Don’t forget to take lots of pictures. If you can, make a movie out of the girl’s performance. It will be a great presentation at your daughter’s graduation party!
