Invitations

A great party starts with invitations.  Plain invitations are boring. You want to get the guests in the jungle spirit from the start, which means you need to get creative with your invitations.

You and your child can make the invitations.  Use construction paper to cut out animal shaped invitations. Choose your child’s favorite jungle animal and make invitations shaped with that animal.

Decorations

You can have lots of fun decorating for your jungle party.  Stuffed animals are a great way to set the scene.  You can use jungle animals and cardboard cutouts in order to turn your home into a jungle.

Also, have guests bring their own stuffed animals.  They can help set the scene and make the jungle a hit.  You can put their animals in another room and call that room the petting zoo.  They can visit the petting zoo and see the animals everyone brought along with them.

Costumes

You can also make the jungle party like Halloween by having guests dress as their favorite animal. You will have a blast as you see kids come in dressed as elephants, monkeys and even cats and dogs.  It will add flair to the party and help ensure everyone will have a great time.

Games

Jungle games will add to the fun.  The Great Peanut Hunt is a fun game your guests are sure to enjoy.  Hide peanuts all around the house.  Tell the kids they are elephants and they need to find the peanuts so they can eat.  Give them buckets to place the peanuts in and then let them start searching.

The child that finds the most peanuts will win the prize. You can have little animal figures as prizes.

You can also have a safari where you hide stuffed animals around the house and have kids find them.  They can go out in search of different jungle animals and bring them back. The kids can work as a team or individually.  You can also divide the kids into separate teams and have them compete against each other.  The winning team should receive a prize.  The prize can be the animal they found, or you can purchase other prizes.  Keep the prizes small and affordable.  The kids will be so happy to win a prize they will not notice how much or how little you spent on it.

A jungle party is certain to be a celebration your child will not forget.  They will keep the memories of the party with them for years to come.  Go all out for your jungle party so your child and guests will have a day to remember.  From safaris to petting zoos, the your child will have a lot of fun.
