The Invitations

Have fun with the invitation. There are so many fun ideas with this themed party. One idea is having an Elvis impersonator on your invitation. Most people can’t help but think of Vegas when they see an Elvis impersonator sportin’ his white bell bottoms suit.

Another is the 20s theme. Ask your secret club gamblers to come in their best boas and cocktail attire. Go even further and make it a gangster and flapper Vegas theme.

Who doesn’t love a game of blackjack? Pick an invitation with a James Bond type feel and let your invitation speak the double-entendre of “black”.

If it’s a lady’s night, then you can’t go wrong with a queen of hearts invitation. Girl it up with some pink hearts and have yourself some ladies poker fun.

The Set-Up

Make a selection of games that you would like to have at the party. Things like Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, Poker and Texas Hold’em are great choices and easily played at a table. 

You can run the games yourself or if you want to really make a night to remember, you can hire from companies that will actually bring and run the games for you.

Now, Vegas is all about the glitz and glamour. As a host you need to dress the part. Take out your flashiest wardrobe and dress the part! 

Make sure your home is dressed up too. The more games you have set up, the better. Small slot machines or even pictures of slot machines are a great touch. 

Play some old Sinatra in the background. And don’t forget the theme of money. Money, money, money! Have some fake dollar bills, coins and gambling chips all about the place.

You can find fake slot machines as center pieces to put around. You can also have playing cards set on the tables.

The Supplies

Paper plates with playing cards on them are very clever, but if you can’t find them choose plates, napkins and utensils that are black, silver and gold.

The Food and Drink

Your guests will be gambling and playing games, so you want to pick foods that are easy for them to eat while they play. Stuffed mushrooms, small quiches, coconut shrimp, mozzarella sticks, bruschetta and cheese and crackers are all ideas of good snacks.

When it comes to drinks, theme your party with dirty martini’s, lemon drops and some slow sippers like Scotch and Whiskey. This will definitely keep your guests feeling like big rollers.

Party Favors

If you play with real money, hopefully your guests will go home winners. Either way, let them leave with a little something. Chocolate playing cards, swanky candles, martini glasses or a deck of cards are great little favors for your guests to remember their night in “Vegas”.
