Dress the Part

Rock stars illustrate a rock star vibe, not only in their attitude, but in the clothes they wear and the “look” they bear. So be sure to get out your best rock star garb so people know you’re here to party and to rock. Torn jeans and ripped shirts build a good foundation. Leather rocks!!! If you have a t-shirt or pants that are way too tight for you, those will be best. Wear sunglasses, no matter how dark or late at night it is. Spike or muss up your hair as much as possible.

Sing It Out

Maybe you can sing. Maybe you can’t. It doesn’t matter. When you’re a rock star, no one can tell anyway. Break out the karaoke machine, and dominate it. Sure, you’ve have let your friends sing once in a while, but you don’t want them to forget that you’re the rock star. And when you’re not singing, talk in a low voice or with a fake rock star British accent, and your friends will be cheering your show.

Gather Your Entourage

Every rock star needs groupies, so be sure that all your friends come along to enhance your rock star image. It’s always more fun to party with friends anyway, so pack them in, no matter how tight. To add to it, make a guest list, and have one of your groupies play bouncer and pretend to check guests off at the door. That’ll get everyone set to know that you’re the rock star of this party.

The Best Music to Rock Out

Hard and Loud is the way of the rock star. Rock stars rock. Sure, they sometimes roll. But make sure your playlist is full of rock. Not Hall and Oates soft rock, though. Hard rock, borderline metal if you have to. Just make sure it’s loud and gets people’s attention. Sure, guests may want to turn it down so they can hear each other talk, but it’s your call, as resident rock star, to decide what kind of party it is.

What to Serve?

Rock stars don’t eat. Rock stars drink. They drink Rockstar, an energy drink, if they really want to be ironic. If you can afford it, stock up on top shelf liquor and champagne. Or just fake it. Then, drink it out of a mug, but don’t let anyone else drink out of the same type of mug. Rock stars can’t be bothered with fancy glasses, or posers.

You can always trash the place and throw your stuff around to really party like a rock star, but if you like your furniture, you may want to withhold from acting out that much. If you’ve got everything else covered, you’re successfully partying like a rock star, and that’s all you need. Rock on.
