Corporate Theme PartyCorporate theme parties can be a difficult task. There are so many different types of people to consider. When at work, we tend to hide our most outgoing aspects. A corporate theme party can be just the right opportunity to let loose a little and make going back to the office a little more fun.

First things first. You need a theme. Let’s focus on just one.

Let’s talk Hollywood. You want to get in on everyone’s good side, right? So, how about the Corporate Awards – Hollywood Style?

Glamorous Invitations

Let the guests feel as if they are being invited to the Academy Awards. The invitation should request the honor of their presence in a most glamorous way. Try a picture of old movie stars on the invitation for your company theme party.

The Grand Entrance

The ideal entrance to the chosen venue would be a red carpet. Upon entering guests should enjoy the background music of big band.

An essential player to this grand corporate theme party is to have a photographer available to take lots of pictures and make the guests feel as if they are stars. Have a backdrop at the entrance so that the guests can have their photos taken upon entering the party. This picture can later be given as a memento and party favor.

Fancy clothing is mandatory.

Old black and white photos of the glamorous movie starts of the 40’s will add great flare to the evening.

Create a festive feel with black and gold as the main colors of the table settings. Menus and/or a nomination sheet can be rolled up with a gold ribbon and placed at each setting along with a chocolate award statue resembling an Oscar. These too can be taken home as a party favor.

If you choose to not have a sit-down dinner, then these items can be placed on a table at the entrance for guests to take when they arrive.

While the dinner does not have to be formal, the fun part about this party is pretending that it is!

All Fun and Games

A Hollywood variation of 20 questions is a great way to bring everyone together and laugh. As each guest arrives, place a star on his or her back with a name on it. The goal for each guest will be to find out which guest they are by asking the other guests 20 yes or no questions.

Plan actual office-related nominations and awards. Examples might be, “Best Supporting Assistant”. Have someone announce the nominees and who the award goes to. You can send out the voting cards with the invitations.

Food and Drinks

Whether it’s a sit-down dinner or buffet style, treat your guests to a few options. Include a pasta dish, salad, bread, fish and/or steak and chicken with a nice mashed potato side dish. Stick to tradition with this meal. Small quiches make a great appetizer for this type party.

For drinks, you simply must have champagne. Keep things simple yet refined with wine, beer and champagne.

Remember most of the fun comes from the make believe. So let your guests live it up with a night in Hollywood as your corporate theme party!
