Chocolate Party Invitations

Here is a DIY invitation for a chocolate party that anyone can make. Choose a cream colored card stock. Add chocolate dessert themed stickers or rubber stamps. Print the party details somewhere on the card. You can make it a flip open card or make it even simpler and make a postcard type invitation. Get as creative as you want with these. The stickers and rubber stamps make it perfect for even the “unimaginative” type.

Either put them in the mail with decorated envelopes or hand deliver your invitations with brownies, candies, or cookies. Tie the card to the package with a ribbon.

Chocolate Party Decorations

• Combine chocolate brown balloons, paper plates, and napkins with the following colors: bright pink, light mint green, icy pale blue, or aqua.


• Light chocolate scented candles or a chocolate room spray will give the room a stronger chocolate aroma.


• Fill pretty bowls with chocolates all around the party. You can also put chocolates on doily covered plates for a more elegant look.


• Make a banner that says, “Welcome Fellow Chocoholics.” Decorate it with the colors of the party and stickers of chocolate desserts.

There are hundreds of party foods that you can have at your chocolate party. The great thing is most of the chocolate food you serve can be made up before the party, leaving you time for decorations and game planning. Search the Internet or cookbooks for some simple and exciting chocolate recipes.

Try small portions of everything, so your guests can try a little bit of everything. Be sure to have lots of drinks to wash down the delicious treats. Serve your wonderful chocolate treats with lots of cold bottled water, milk, coffee, espresso or cappuccino.

• Chocolate favorites that are excellent for making into bite sized pieces are: brownies, chocolate mousse pie, chocolate cake, chocolate mini cupcakes, and chocolate cheesecake.

• Make homemade chocolate treats. Put them in a small gift bag or gift box. Brownies, cookies, and cheesecakes are excellent homemade treats.


• Chocolate scented bath and body products are great chocolate party favors. These would include: chocolate soap, chocolate lip balm, and chocolate scented candles.


• What better gift than to pass the gift of making chocolate to someone else? Give a small chocolate cookbook or make your own cookbook that includes your favorite recipes. Put the recipes on individual cards and put them in a gift bag.


• Everyone loves hot cocoa! Make a hot cocoa gift bag that includes individual packets of hot cocoa mix with a little bag of mini marshmallows. Get even more creative by measuring out the hot cocoa mix and layering in a clear jar. Just place the cocoa mix on the bottom layer, followed by a layer of marshmallows with chocolate chips on top.
