Instead of getting the typical New Year’s Eve party decorations, use some decorations that are different. Step outside of the box and decorate your party in a way others will enjoy. One of the best ways to step outside and have some fun is with the Pre-Resolution Party. You will be able to fill your home with Pre-Resolution Party decorations everyone will love. Be sure to see how to throw a New Years party with a budget.
The Pre-Resolution Party
When the New Year begins, people will try to stick to the resolutions they made on New Year’s Eve. They will want to lose weight, quit smoking, drink less and do all of the things that will make them a better person. The New Year’s Eve party is their last time to cut loose before the New Year begins. Because of that, you want to not only let everyone have a great time, but show them they don’t have to start the exercising and other resolutions until the next day.
Forget the Workout
Start off the decorations by reminding people they have another day to forget the workout. As long as it is New Year’s Eve, the workout does not have to take effect. Remind them by having a workout DVD playing, and then caution tape over the television set. Put up signs saying, “It’s Not the New Year Yet.” Give them permission to cut loose on the last day before the workout begins.
Binge Eat
Next to the workout area, be sure to have a table full of treats. Have a scale with a red X over it, and lots of goodies everyone will enjoy. Be sure to have high calorie treats, such as brownies and cookies. Have a sign that says, “Last Binge of the Year.” Encourage people to fill their stomachs with the last of the good food before the New Year begins. After the clock strikes midnight, they will be on calorie restrictions.
Binge Drinking Area
What is binge eating if people can’t take part in binge drinking as well? Be sure to have an area set up just like a bar. Have the alcohol flow freely. Have fun signs about alcohol up. Make it look like a college dorm more than an adult bar. The Pre-Resolution Party is perfect for those who want to have a last night of fun before they hit the resolutions hard. If you want to make sure your guests have a party they will never forget, give people a chance to forget their resolutions for the night.
Tips for a Pre-Resolution Party
- Go wild with your decorations. Think of as many resolutions as you can and then come up with decorations that will correspond with those resolutions.
- Let everyone know the type of party you are having in advance. Then, ask them what their resolution is for the New Year so you can tailor some decorations for their resolution.
- Have fun. This party is supposed to be wild, and in order to do that, you must cut loose and have a great time.
