If you want to have fun on New Year’s Eve, you need some great party games.  Party games liven up a party and ensure everyone has a wonderful time.  Choose games that will allow everyone to participate and have fun.

Anonymous Two Truths and a Lie

Start the party off with an anonymous version of two truths and a lie.  In this game you will need to have everyone in the party write two truths about themselves along with one lie.  Then, you will collect all of the papers and put them in a bowl.  Randomly draw the papers out and read them to the guests.

There are two objectives to the game.  First, the guests must decide who the truths and lies belong to.  Then, they need to decide which statement is a lie.  This is a great way to get to know the guests better and it’s a lot of fun.

Act the Hat

With this game, you will need a large assortment of hats.  Have different New Year’s Eve hats, as well as some other types of hats.  Everyone must pick a hat to wear at the party.  Then, they have to act as they think the person who would wear such a hat would act.  If they think he would have an accent, they need to use an accent for the party.  This is a fun way to get everyone to unwind.  Also, as more alcohol is served, the impressions will get funnier and funnier.

Guess the Month

You can make your own trivia game called Guess the Month.  Look through magazines and online to find events that occurred throughout the year.  Write them down.  Then, have party guests guess what month the event occurred.

Have a broad range of topics.  Choose some entertainment, political and sports topics. You can also choose topics that fit into any other category of your choosing.  Make easy, moderate and difficult questions.

Questions

Involve everyone at the party with a game of questions.  For this game, you will need to call out questions about party guests.  You can ask who laughs the loudest, which had the most to drink and other questions.  Then, the person who answers correctly wins.

Call the questions out randomly throughout the entire party.  It is best to catch people off guard.  Then, allow people to start calling out answers.
