If you are going to have a mixed group at your New Year’s Eve party, you need to entertain everyone. You cannot just focus at the adults or the children, or people will be bored. If you want to throw a party people will be talking about, have the perfect all ages party.
Invitations
Be sure to include in the invitations information about the party being for all ages. Tell parents to bring their kids along as there will be food and entertainment for them. Also, let them know they need to tell you how many kids they will be bringing when they RSVP for the party.

Card Games for All
After you send out the invitations, you need to set up for the party. One great way to involve everyone is with card games. You can set up different tables. Some tables will be for the kids and some for the adults.
At the adult table, you can play poker, rummy, or any other card game you like. Then, at the kids table you can set up Uno, Go Fish and other popular kid card games. This way, both the kids and the adults will be able to enjoy themselves. See also our New Years Fun Games article.
Table Games
Don’t forget about other types of games. Adults may like trivia or a board game. Kids, on the other hand, like a variety of games. Consider the age group of the kids and then set up games for them. If you have several different age groups, set up several different tables. Put games corresponding to age groups on the tables.
Kid Movies, Parents Drinking
You can also set up a movie room for the kids. Get some DVDs and put them in the room so the kids can quietly entertain themselves.
Then, have an area for the adults set up in another room. They can listen to music, drink and play games. T his way, everyone is able to have a great time at the party.
Remember, you can have an amazing all ages party. Do not feel as if the adults and children have to interact at all times. Instead, supply activities for all age groups. That way, everyone can bring the New Year in the best way possible.
