Winter Birthday Party Invitations

There are many different invitations you can find for a boy’s winter birthday party.    Remember to include the basic information, such as time and place and any special instructions for the guests, such as what they should bring.  Some ideas to use to find or make your own invitations are: snowflakes, snowman, sleds, etc.

Winter Birthday Party Games

Games are the height of the party.  Boys tend to go for the games more than doing “crafts.”  Even if they like crafts, they may not admit it in front of their friends!  The more games you have, the better your party will go.   Here are a few games that are perfect for a boy’s winter birthday party.

Snowman Bowling

Boys love to knock things over!  Snowman bowling is simple and a blast.

  • Make 6 snowmen out of white poster board.  Have your son decorate the snowmen.
  • Glue the snowmen to empty 2-liter soda bottles.
  • Tape a line down on the floor for the kids to stand behind.
  • Make a bowling ball out of a white sock filled with tissue paper.
  • Simply let the kids try to knock down the 6 snowmen.  Give them each two tries per turn.

Snowball Throw

Boys love to throw things!  Snowball throw is a way to let them throw snowballs without freezing and without breaking things.

  • Crumple up a bunch of white tissue paper for the snowballs.
  • Divide the kids into two teams.
  • Have them stand on either side of the line taped to the rug.
  • Boys should grab some snowballs and wait for the word, “go!”
  • Set a timer for one minute.
  • When you say go, the boys are to throw as many snowballs as they can to the other side.  Once the timer goes off, the team with the least amount of snowballs on their side wins.

Melting Snowball

This is a game like hot potato with a twist of winter.

Take the snowball made from the snowball bowling game and put on the song Frosty the Snowman or any other fun winter music.  Whoever has the ball when the music goes off is out.  It is important to make it known that even though they are out that they get to go to the “prize sled” filled with prizes!  This way even though they are out, they are still happy!

Boy’s Winter Birthday Party Cake

There are many kinds of cakes you can make for this occasion.  A great one that boys tend to like is a snowman cake.  Use an 8” round pan for the head and a 9” round pan for the body.  Make your child’s favorite type of cake.  Frost it with fluffy white frosting.

For the eyes, use two black gum drops and a candy corn for the nose.  Chocolate chips are perfect for the mouth.  For the buttons, use different colored gum drops.  Black licorice is perfect for the arms.

To go along with your snowman cake, make frozen snowballs, out of two small scoops of vanilla.  The boys will love adding colored sprinkles, cookies, or chocolate chips to their snowballs.

More fun, after the cake!

Why not purchase a winter themed piñata or make one yourself.   Everyone loves piñatas!  The only thing left to do is open presents.  Your boy will be able to tackle this one on his own.  Your boy will have a Happy Snowy Birthday with these games and cake ideas.
