If you are getting ready for a Halloween party, you need to come up with some games.  The right games can make the party. Thus, take your time picking out the perfect games for your celebration. Your guests will appreciate it and you will be able to enjoy yourself since everyone will have such a great time.

Who Am I?

Who Am I gives guests the chance to portray characters from the best horror films.  The host of the party will need to write down different Halloween characters. They can be from horror movies or simply characters that are known throughout history to be frightening. Then, as guests arrive, tape the name of their character to their back.

Party guests will need to treat the person like he is the actual character. For example, if someone has Dracula taped to his back, guests will need to treat him as if he is Dracula.

The first person to guess who they are wins the prize. However, the game can continue until everyone guesses correctly.  You can have more than one prize, and even offer a prize to the person who is the last to successfully guess.

Murder Mystery

A murder mystery is a great way to liven up a Halloween party. You can turn your guests into suspects and crime solvers.

When you send out invitations, also send out character descriptions to guests. That will be the character they will need to play at the murder mystery evening. They will come dressed as the character and they will act just like the person.

When the guests arrive, start the party as normal.  Pass out drinks and maybe have people eat.  Then, however, you need to discover the body.  You can stumble upon the body and make a big scene.  Yell out that someone has been murdered. At that point, the fun will begin.  Give out clues throughout the evening and allow the guests to try to figure out who the culprit is.  

Then and Now

Have all of your guests send in pictures of them dressed up for Halloween when they were just a kid.  Then, post the pictures up at the house.  Give everyone a piece of paper and have them guess who is who.  The person who gets the most right in the shortest period of time will win.

Halloween party games can be creepy and fun.  Pick the right games and you will have your guests howling for more.  With so many fun games to choose from, you should be able to entertain your guests during the entire party.

Tips for Halloween Party Games

• If your guests are wearing costumes, incorporate them into the fun.  For example, if your guests dress up for a murder mystery event, hand out prizes for the best costumes.
• Have small party favors to give to the guests.  Ghost stickers, little pumpkins and candy can all be used as party favors and prizes.
• Have a list of games and introduce a new game before guests become bored.
