For many, Halloween is the best time of the year. The ghosts and goblins come out to play, and adults can get in touch with their playful side. If you are hosting a Halloween party, you want to make sure it sizzles with excitement and brings out the dark side in everyone. Use some of these Halloween party ideas to throw a party your guests are not soon to forget.
Gambling With Fate
Halloween is a time to let the ghosts and goblins out, and you can increase the fun by playing a game called Gambling With Fate. Put a bowl in the room of your next Halloween party. People can gamble with fate by drawing a piece of paper from the bowl.
They could end up with a treat or they could get something less pleasant. It’s comparable to a game of truth or dare. Whenever a paper is drawn, the person must do whatever is on the paper, no matter how unpleasant it might be.
Curses
Curses are a Halloween staple. Have a bowl full of papers with various curses written on them. One of the curses may be something like “Whenever someone says the word “drink,” you must stand up and turn around three times.” You can fill the bowl with as many outlandish behaviors as you wish.
Then after all the guests have arrived, ask everyone to draw a curse from the bowl. Everyone is then instructed to do whatever the curse instructs them to do although they are not allowed to tell anyone that they are cursed.
Guests will laugh the entire evening as they witness and participate in outlandish behavior. Eventually, some people will figure out what word or object makes a particular person behave so ridiculously, and then you can imagine the power he has over that person’s behavior.
Themed Costumes
Costume parties have been popular for years. It’s always fun to guess who’s hiding behind that mask or to compete for the funniest, scariest, most unique costume of the evening.
An interesting variation of this idea is to provide a theme for the costumes people choose. Perhaps you could have a “Night of the Living Dead” party in which the guests come dressed as Zombies, or a “Harry Potter” themed party in which the guests arrive dressed as their favorite Harry Potter wizard.
If you’re planning a couple’s only party, why not have them dress as famous couples? Who knows? The spirits of Anthony and Cleopatra, or Fred and Wilma Flintstone may be haunting your party, and Bill and Hillary Clinton may decide to crash it. The couples can be as scary or funny as guests desire. You will enjoy as your guests come in. you will get to see who they admire or who they want to make fun of during the holiday.
Halloween parties can be a fun time for all. Adults love the holiday, and it is the perfect time for the themed get together. If you want to have a party that is a smash, consider a themed party that everyone can enjoy.
