Rules for Kings Drinking Game
Do you want to spice up your next party? Give the Kings Drinking Game a try. This game is one of the most popular drinking games around, and for good reason. It is a fun game, and the rules are flexible. If you want to make any changes, you can do so and still have a great time.
How to Play
You don’t need much to get started with Kings. You need a deck of cards and a pint sized glass. The glass is placed in the middle of the table and the cards are spread around the glass.
Then, everyone needs to arm themselves with a drink of their choice and everyone will be ready to play.
Rules
The rules relate to the cards drawn. The value of the card will tell the person what they will have to do. Get a regular deck of cards, shuffle well and put it face down in the middle of the table. You also need a large mug in the center as a community drink (kings). Pick someone to go first and work your way around clockwise until the game ends, see below to know how that happens.
When each card is drawn do the following:
- Kings - Pour some of your drink into the glass in the middle.
- 2-You -Choose someone to take a drink
- 3-Me -The person who drew the card will have to take a drink.
- 4-Floor - Everyone must touch the floor. The last one to do so has to take a drink.
- 7-Never Have I Ever- Say something you have never done. If someone else in the group has done it, they have to take a drink.
- 8-Make a Rule - If you draw this card, you must make a rule. The most common type of rule is a restrictive rule. For example, a rule can be made where no one can say “drink.”. Then, you have to come up with a punishment if players break the rule.
- 9-Bust a Rhyme - After the card is drawn, the person who drew it must say something. The next person in line must rhyme it, and so on. People cannot repeat what someone else has said and they must act fast or they will have to take a drink.
- 10-Social - Click your glasses and take a drink together.
- Jack-Categories - If you draw a jack, you have to come up with a category. Your category could be NCAA sports teams. After you announce your category, you would need to name sports team. The next person in line would do the same and so on. If someone repeats a name or takes too long to name one, they have to take a drink.
- Queen-Questions - Only questions can be used when this card is drawn. Turn to someone and ask them a question. They have to answer back with a question. The process will continue. Ask crazy questions to try to get the person to start laughing. The first person to laugh or make a statement instead of a question has to drink.
- Ace-Waterfalls - Once the card is drawn, the fun begins. Everyone has to start drinking. Once the person who drew the card stops, the person to his right can stop. This will continue until everyone is done drinking.
- Joker-Joke - The person who draws the card has to tell everyone a joke. If there are four people playing and two do not laugh, the joke teller has to take two drinks. If one person did not laugh, one drink will be required.
End of Game
When the last king is drawn (there should be 4), the person who drew it has to drink the entire mug in the middle of the table.
You can have a great time playing Kings. If you want to get the party started, take a deck of cards out and set up the game.
