We're going to have a party next weekend. But instead of having one host, everyone is asked to bring food. Since I'm one of the planner, I volunteered the equipments. My question is - how can I prepare for the unexpected number of menu?

I only have one rule when it comes to potlucks - bring as much as you can. Now with the equipment, I always try to be generous but never too pushy. That means I only bring out what is essential and keep the things that might go overboard. This is also true when it comes to equipment.

When it comes to potluck, make sure to remind the guests what dish to bring. Not that you'll tell them the specifics. Just assign who'll bring the main dish, who'll do desserts and so on and so forth.
