My friend is planning to have some party and it's going to take place in a mall. It's quite unique because a small part of the mall (not a fast food chain) is freed up. They opted to get this because it's cooler and it's accessible. So now that we have the place, what can we do here? Any suggestions?

You have to think of two things in this party: gate crashers and the noise. Set-up some security bracket or a wall so that not just anyone could be in the party. With regards to the noise, you can drown it a bit by having music on your own.

tejames is right - you really should expect something noisy in the mall. It's also important to remind parents that their kids might go out of the party and be lost.

To make things easier, I suggest to look for a caterer so that you don't have to push yourself preparing in the mall because of access problems.

I had that once but we did not have it in a space provided by the mall. We had it instead in a space rented in a fast food restaurant inside the mall. I think this is a better option since a mall space can be a bit expensive.
