Because of recession, we have to think of creative ways to find good candidate because of the number of applicants. One of our co-workers actually suggested a "resume party" wherein we treat the resume like raffle tickets. What do think guys? will this work?

In this economy, anything related to job hunting will work:) Just make sure that you have an educated estimate on how many participants will be showing up on your resume day. As much as possible, have an online registration and give priority to those who did to have a smooth resume party Good luck.

I agree with lizzie. Make sure you keep count of the guests. make sure that they have their resumes ready and an online registration number. That would serve as their invite.

You can also pre-qualify them before the event. Then those that passed the pre-qualification can be included in the guest list. Make sure the criteria is simple but can limit the number of people, like only those above 20, graduate, or anything. Make sure you check with the labor laws.
