My friend recommended me to have an "event magnet". This is basically a fridge magnet which a reminder. I think that's a novel idea but it could be a bit expensive because I'm planning to invite a good number of people for the event.

It's a bit expensive but it's a good investment if you really, really want people to show up. However, think of the event because sometimes this type of invitation is not fitting for the event. This type of invitation is highly recommended for family themed celebrations.
