Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Any new ideas you'd like to share based on experience? Here's something new I experienced last week - vegetable barbecue. I know it's just kebab but the taste was amazing! The secret: black pepper.

It was movie marathon for us. We rented popular Trilogies and had a blast watching it the entire afternoon. We had so much fun we continued other Trilogies Friday (after shopping) and Saturday. Nothing new for the food but it's still good.

We had barbecue in the backyard while playing 3-on-3 soccer. It was fun because we're not really that expert in soccer so everyone was playing on kid level. Others were just watching with beer in their hands while enjoying the game.

Since everyone in the house are self-proclaimed experts in the kitchen. Our Thanksgiving party is practically a cooking party. Everyone has a recipe for dinner so we spent the entire afternoon cooking everyone's favorite dish. Saying that everyone was full that night is almost an understatement.

@beth4lfe - that idea is actually very interesting. My friends and I love to cook so we'll probably try your idea next year or this christmas. @tejames - thanks for the sports theme input. My kids will definitely love this small competition in our backyard in one sunny afternoon party.
