Valentines is supposed to be a party for two...but it's not that easy as it looks.

After thinking about your last Thanksgiving, do you have any Valentines Day party experience? Please share. I'll start - we invited some single friends over for a Dating Marathon. Everyone brought food/drinks while I provided the music and the place. The meeting between singles was not much but we at least had some fun talking to new people.

A few years ago, our friends thought that a Valentines day party would be romantic if done in the park. We asked for permission, set up extra lights and had brought tables for everyone to enjoy the night. I think it was worth it but it was too tiring for one Valentine's day party. You can try it out if you have friends who simply love to enjoy music and food.

@partyfreak: the park idea is very cool and I agree it's very tiring just for that occasion.

On my end, this happened a few years ago: since my friends didn't have a date on that night, we decided to have a girl movie marathon. Instead of thinking about the fact that we didn't have anyone for that night, we enjoyed each other's company and laughed at the romantic comedies we watched.

I also experienced a great valentines day party a few years ago and it was actually filled with activities for singles. The first activity was speed dating and the second activity was "Truth or Dare" which was more interesting.
