This Christmas, we just wanted to have a small barbecue party with our friends. The weather here is not that cold and there's not much snow. But with the economy, the party can be a bit expensive especially when we're inviting 20 guests. Please help on money saving ideas

I suggest you focus on “extenders” for a barbecue party. Instead of meat, look for less expensive vegetables that you can prepare. Basically, a kebab could be a great alternative. You can also request your friends to bring something for the party. Hope this helps.

You can also complement the vegetables with a variety of sauce. You can even have one variety of barbecue and have numerous flavors of sauce so that guests will have fun with barbecue even though the meat doesn't have any variety.

My buddy had this idea to save a bit on meat: sodas. He purchased a lot of sodas for that party that everyone was busy drinking and they seem to forget about the barbecue. There were still food but he also spiced the condiments a bit so that the interest on the drinks will increase
