I want to bring out beer and the main food during the game which means I need some ideas on the drinks and food I have to prepare before the game. Is this a good idea or are there recipes I can quickly prepare.

No Beer! I hate to be the one to drain the fun but it's absolutely essential to start serving the main drinks and food during the game. In the meantime, serve some snack food and non-alcoholic drinks.

I have to disagree with Trish but I see her point. I still serve beer before the game but I make it a point to start the party at least 15 minutes before the game. This way, people will not be too drunk while watching the game.

Thanks for the info jenny. Some were actually a bit annoyed having to wait for the beer. Inviting them 15 minutes before the game is actually a smart idea - will definitely be doing that this year.
