One of the reasons why I'm very much interested in parties is that we always have a get-together day with our friends. We often think of wacky themes and activities so that we won't be bored. Next month, I think we'll try to have a spooky party by reading short horror stories and watching "Twilight Zone" on DVD.

You can also have a party based on popular actors or movies that were released on that month. You can buy a small book about movies or lookup online to see what can be screened at home for everyone to enjoy during the party.

Why not have a poker party. You can start of by having an "expert" come over and explain the rules. After that, play.

The poker party idea is nice. You can even have that monthly without changing the theme.

Having a Monthly Get-together is a great Idea,to fill in the missing days! I second that poker party,and to make it more fun.. Play it with some twist. A 'TRUTH or DARE' game to whoever loose... It would be surely fun!
