We're planning to add a petting zoo for the party but we haven't done this before. Are there any additional requirements for this type of party other than getting the right company?

All you need is space for if you want to rent animals for a petting zoo. Obviously, you can't get them if you're party is indoor. You can have the party in your backyard but make sure there's enough space for the animals and your guests. Also consider the distance of the company because they might charge too much because of transportation.

While they may provide a lot of things, you should also ask them regarding their policies about the following: * Parents supervision (most petting zoos require parents present for their kids) * Weather (they can cancel if it rains or you can change the date) * Insurance (in case the animal or the kids are injured) * Handling (can they be fed?)
