My friend is planning something really unique for her birthday (mid-20s): we'll all be in a mall and spend a specific amount of money. Because she has the money, she'll be giving us certificates we can use for shopping. After that, we'll be going back to her place to show her what we bought and our gifts.

You missed the food. This is very important since you will be going out and everyone will be exhausted after a day of shopping. Prepare something to drink in the fridge or something that can prepared within minutes.

Stephanie is right. Although the shopping experience is fun, it could be a bit depressing when you go home and there's nothing to eat .

What you should also make sure is the transportation. As much as possible spend a bit on transportation that can be used for everyone. If you're traveling, it's best that you go together.
