I think it's a great idea to have a good old fashioned Disco party for a Sweet 16. The costume, the decorations will surely be dazzling. But I think a few people really appreciate this type of music. Should I mix it up or stick with the disco music?

That's a pretty awesome party. I suggest you look for a good disco ball, a smart DJ familiar with a good selection of disco music and ask everyone to be on their formal party dresses. A disco party on formal attire will be unforgettable scene for the celebrant.

Don't just settle for music. Let the young ones know the great movies and people of the past. Switch the TV on and feature some movies (the family themed ones) of the past

TV would be nice but I think that might ruin the mood for some. Besides, you don't want your guests to be distracted by some videos. You can try getting a really good DJ as he or she would be filling the house with great music. No one will look for a television when there's great music.
