Birthday Party at School 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I just got off the phone with the school principal. She just approved my request to hold the birthday party at school. She just requests that the party be limited in the room and should not last more than an hour. I was ok with it but thinking about it makes it a bit difficult because of the time constraints. Any tips on what I need to do?

I don't want to spoil your excitement but I suggest you keep it simple. Bring food enough for the kids, balloons and a cake. Let your kid know that his or her gift is at home so that she would still be excited even with a simple party. You only have one hour so incorporating other activities will be difficult and could be frustrating.

Mickey is right - it's no use having to push for activities in a one-hour party. On the other hand, if you want to have more time for a game or two here's the fastest way to get the party started: bring packed meals with one cake and a couple of balloons. This will get everyone eating fast and ready for activities. Seek the aid of the teacher to easily conduct these activities.

Thanks for the idea partyfreak. Bringing the food all packed with cakes and balloons will definitely cut time in food preparation on the classroom. However, my concern is that they might ask for more and I don't have anything to provide. Maybe I could limit the variety of food to three so that I can bring more food for the kids who wants 2nd helping.
