- Glue all the parts of the bunny onto the toilet paper tube body.
- Stick wiggle eyes on bunny face.
- Cut small triangular shape out of pink paper for the nose.
- Glue cotton ball on for the tail.
- Use the black marker to draw buck teeth, cheeks, and whiskers on the bunny face.
- Make a small hole on the bunny head. Put a small string through it. Tie the ends into a knot. This can be used to hang up the Easter bunny.
Easter Basket Bonnet
Materials:
- Cotton balls
- 2 – Paper plates
- Colored construction paper
- Crayons
- Markers
- Easter grass
- Tape
- Glue
- Hole puncher
- Scissors
- Colored yarn or ribbon
- Colorful pipe cleaners
Instructions:
- On the outer edge of the paper plate, punch a hole. Straight across from that hole, make another hole (the other side of the plate).
- Take the yarn or ribbon and cut two 10” strands.
- Turn the paper plate upside down.
- Push the colored yarn or ribbon through one of the holes. Tie them in a knot to secure in place. This is going to be the base of your bonnet as the colored yarn will hold the bonnet to your chin.
- Cut the center of the other paper plate. Twist the hollow plate into a tighter circle, which will make it curl up like a bowl. Tape it into place.
- Stick the curled plate shape onto the center top of the other plate with the ribbon knot. This part will act as the bottom of the Easter basket on the top of the bonnet.
- Create a handle for the Easter basket out of colorful pipe cleaners. Weave them together.
- With tape or glue, fix the ends of the pipe cleaners to opposite sides of the basket.
- Decorate the hat with colored construction paper, tissue papers, colored paper flowers, cotton balls, etc. Let the children use their imaginations. Once dry, they can wear their Easter basket bonnets home.
Easter Bunny Mask
Materials:
- ½ sheet craft foam
- 4” x 1” strip of craft foam (offer pink, blue, or yellow)
- Glitter glue (pink and white)
- Scissors
- 12” elastic
- Stapler
- Electrical tape
Instructions:
- Make a pattern of a bunny face and cut it out. Include the ears and cheeks of the bunny face.
- Place the pattern onto the craft foam. Leave room on the left side of the foam, as this is where you will fold the foam and cut it.
- Trace the pattern and fold the foam in half so the left side of the pattern is in line with the fold. Cut the pattern out and unfold. You should now have a full bunny face.
- Cut out the eyes.
- Cut out inner ears and a nose with different colored foam. If you would rather use glitter glue, fill in the ears and nose with glitter glue. Use a paintbrush to spread the glue. Allow it to dry.
- Make whiskers out of the strip of craft foam. Glue three whickers on each cheek.
- Staple the elastic on the back of each side of the mask.
- Cover sharp edges of staples with the black electrical tape.
These Easter party crafts will keep the kids entertained, and they will love the fact that they can wear them home.
