Are you looking for a unique Easter party idea?  How about having an Easter egg decorating party?  Kids love to decorate eggs for Easter.   With a blank white egg and a child’s imagination, an egg can turn into magic right before your eyes.

If you are hosting an Easter egg decorating party, you will want to have some fun and unique ideas to share with the kids.  Of course, allow the kids to use their own imagination.  However, the kids will appreciate any new ideas that come their way.

There are many ideas you can share at an Easter egg decoration party.  This article will show you the steps to make “Farm Friends.”  You can also set up a table for “Flying Friends” or a station for making a “Just Like Me” Easter egg.

Farm Friends Station

Before you begin with this station, have all the kids color a pink egg with two white spots with crayon for the eyes, a blue egg, and a purple egg with white spots (made with crayon before dipping).  Blot dry with paper towel.  Be sure to put paper down to protect the work surface.

Sheep Easter Egg

Materials: brown hard boiled eggs, glue, cotton balls, brown paper, black marker, and brown pipe cleaners.

Instructions: Take the brown egg and glue on cotton balls and brown paper ears.  With a permanent black marker, draw the eyes.

Make legs out of pipe cleaners.  To do this, simply bend a pipe cleaner into an oval and twist it closed.  Use the excess as a tail.  Take a second pipe cleaner and cut it in half.    Wrap half of that second pipe cleaner around the back of the oval to form the back legs, and the other half around the front to form the front legs.  Bend the ends of the pipe cleaners to make feet.  Place the brown egg on the legs and you now have a sheep.

Pig Easter Egg

Materials: pink egg, pom-pom, marker, pink paper, glue, pink pipe cleaners

Instructions: Glue pom-pom nose and pink paper ears onto pink egg.  Draw eyeballs and nostrils with a permanent black marker.  For the legs, see above in the sheep craft for instructions.  Take another half pipe cleaner and curl it for the tail. Twist the tail onto the back portion of the oval.

Set the egg on the leg stand and you have a pig Easter egg to join the group!

Mouse

Materials: blue egg, blue and pink paper, glue, pom-pom, blue pipe cleaners

Instructions: Take the blue egg and glue on the blue and pink paper ears.  Glue on the pom-pom nose.  Create the front and back legs the same as you made them for the sheep.  Add in an extra long pipe cleaner tail.

Purple Cow

Materials: purple egg, 2 pom-poms, marker, purple paper, glue, small bell, purple pipe cleaners

Instructions: Glue paper ears and 2 pom-poms for the nose onto the purple egg with white spots.  Tie a bell on. To make the legs, see the above steps in the sheep section.  Create a tail out of pipe cleaners.

These are just a few farm animals you can create.  These are a lot of fun and are the perfect craft for an Easter egg decorating party.
