1. Newlywed Game

Put the bride to be in the hot seat with this fun game.  Meet with the groom ahead of time and have him answer a set of questions. Then, put the bride in the hot seat so she can find out how well she knows her future husband.

If you want to have even more fun with this game, ask all of the guests’ husbands and significant others.  If someone is single, question their best friend.  Then, put each person in the hot seat and find out who is the best at the newlywed game. You will have a lot of laughs and people are sure to have a great time.

2. Purse Scavenger Hunt

With this game, you will take a piece of paper and write down the name of the bride.  Call out the letters in the bride’s name one by one.  Each guest will need to look through their own purse for an item that starts with the letter of the bride’s name.  The person with the most items will win.

Do not alert people about this game ahead of time.  They should not be given the chance to stuff their purses ahead of time.  Instead, spring it on them and find out which friends are packrats.

3. Wedding Gift Game

Women have a lot to say when they open their gifts.  Have someone record what she says, and when she is done have the recorder read everything aloud.  That is supposed to be what she will say on her honeymoon.  This can be a very funny game, as she will make some racy comments without realizing it.

You can also take the game a step further by taking what she says and incorporating it into sentences.  You can have a lot of fun by creating sentences that go with the words she said while opening her gifts.

4. Bridal Shower Taboo

Come up with wedding themed words.  Then, have a list of taboo words.  The object is to get someone to guess the theme word without using any of the taboo words.  This is a fun take on the game Taboo and sure to be a hit.  Have people partner up for this game.  Switch partners after a game or two so everyone can mingle.

5. There Goes the Bride

Give everyone a pen and paper.  Have the bride leave the room.  Everyone then must write down as many things as they remember about what the bride was wearing. This can include the shade of lipstick, fingernail polish and jewelry. The person who remembers the most wins.
